   Great gift for my Mother-in-law in Michocan,Mexico. We have used these dishes for years, they look great, and have proven to be very durable. Note: dishes are break resistant, if dropped on tile or concrete they will shatter into very small pieces.

   I ordered these dishes because I wanted something simple, nice, and white - they fit the bill with a bonus that they are chip resistant. I ended up returning them, however, because they are incredibly thin and light. This isn’t mentioned in the product info online - but on the box it says “now 40% lighter” (or something like that). I wish I had known this …they were so thin they felt cheap to me. I guess I like my dishes to be hefty…

   I bought 4 sets of Corelle Livingware Corelle Fun Packs, Winter Frost White on December 18, 2008. Amazon delivered it on the 24th and I was so thrilled. The sets are so beautiful. I love the 2-quart bowls and the 28 oz bowls are perfect for noodle soup. And plus Amazon delivered it on the 24th and I got to use them for my Christmas party. Thanks Amazon.

   Oh, I ordered 4 more sets. The price is $18.76 each and 4 for the price of 3 promotion. A dollar more for each set but so what, I love them so much and I can’t wait.

   I have two sets and love these bowls. Very clean looking and I never worry about breaking them. I love how deep the bowls are. I have the Corelle Square dishes and they go very well with these bowls (and the serving platter).

   I have the dinnerware to this set and the serving platter was a wonderful addition.

   Corelle plates and bowls have been with our household ever since I remember.
   We used to have (we still have them but they are on the shelves) Corelles with color designs but we decided to stick with simple plain ones which is easier to match.

   Pros:
   -Durable. Me and my wife have dropped them many times; and they don’t break easily.
   -Light. Less stress for our kitchen shelves.
   -Microwave safe
   -Easy to clean
   -Dishwasher safe

   Cons:
   -Same complaints with our Corelle bowl. Still don’t understand why a single item costs so much compared to a Corelle set

   I happen to like plain white dishes. The foood looks better on them, and you can change the other table decor to suit any occasion.
   This platter is good a size, and will get lots of use!

   I love Corelle products. They are very durable and look very nice also. I have had Corelle dinnerware since I’m 18 and I’m now 47. They just last and last. I’m looking forward to getting a new set of dinnerware from Corelle with a gift card I have and will purchase the square dinner dishes. Love Corelle and have used no other dinnerware for years!

    These bowls are wonderful! My 3 y.o. daughter uses them for cereal and fruit (they have a shallower, wider bowl appropriate for dinner type eating), and we use them to feed our 1 y.o. his goop too. They are shatter resistant (not shatter proof). The kids have dropped them numerous times, and only 2 have minor chips on them. I know, that doesn’t sound perfect, but the percentage of chipping when taking into consideration the total number of accidents is quite impressive. Also, the fact that they’re made out of safe, non-toxic glass, not questionable plastic (BPA-free doesn’t mean there aren’t other harmful chemicals in plastic!), makes it a no-brainer in our family! Also, we have all white dinnerware, so these match our sets quite nicely.

    I love these bowls. Great for dips and side dishes. Better to have a full bowl than half full. Easy to clean, durable and minimal design. Wonderful.

    I could have sworn that the product description said “4 bowls” when I ordered this and my invoice says “4 bowls” but I only got 1 bowl. The size is nice (Small dessert size) but this is ridiculous for 1 bowl and I would not have bought it if I had known it was only 1. They should make that clearer in the description because the other Corelle Livingware items I bought came in sets of 4.

    It’s too expensive to buy from Amazon. Walmart has it and it costs around $2.86 plus tax. After I found out Walmart has cheaper price, I bought more from them.

    I bought 12 of these over a year ago when it was priced approx 3 with the 4 for 3 promotion. It was more than what I would normally pay given the size of the bowl. However, I didn’t want to feed my toddlers using plastic bowls and this bowl is
    1. Made in USA
    2. Made of glass
    I’m glad I made the purchase since I’ve also been able to use it for serving dipping sauce, dessert, rice bowl.

    After years of using regular Corelle while my kids were little, my husband and I decided it was time for “big person dishes.” However, I couldn’t find anything in our price range with a design I liked as well as these. The durability is an added plus (a big one). I looked at these at Target first, but since I didn’t snap them up they disappeared (maybe temporarily out of production? I don’t know.) I went on an internet hunt and ended up getting them from Amazon. Shipping was free so they were priced the same. One of the large plates had a slight chip in the side. The company said they would ship out a replacement, but not till the end of March. This is actually not a problem since the large plates are so large they don’t fit in our microwave, and we end up using the smaller plates more often than not. The smaller plates are actually still big enough for most meals, and almost too large for a small serving of dessert or salad or snack. I am indifferent to the mugs, but my husband loves them…they hold a nice serving of coffee and feel hefty enough for him. All said, I am quite satisfied with our “new” everyday Corelle, can’t beat the durability and price. Just wish they made some serving dishes to go with them…

    Ever since I lived on my own, I’ve used Corelle dinnerware for every-day use. I will not use anything else but Corelle for its durability, functionality, and value.

    I purchased 2 complete sets of this Corelle Ultra set. I’ve had them for nearly a year. I absolutely adore the plates and bowls. As sturdy as they appear, the are still less than half the weight of stoneware, which is a huge plus in my book. They are very impressively styled and look like fine bone china. I’ve never had any problems cleaning them, although 90% of the time I am using a dishwasher and not hand washing.

    My complaint is with the mugs. They are terrible. First of all, they are too heavy/clunky. I think this is because they are not made from the same material that the dishes and bowls are.

    Second, and more importantly, they get HOT. When hot liquid is in the mug, you cannot grab it any other way than with the loop handle. And when you place your fingers in the loop, you must be careful not to rest your fingers against the side of the mug (as a lot of people would be inclined to do) or else you WILL get burned. You seriously cannot touch this mug anywhere but the handle without getting burned.

    I wish Corelle would come up with better mugs/cups in their dinnerware sets. This set would have gotten 5 stars from me, otherwise.

    Even though I’m not a foodie I’m kind of a dish junkie and right now have plates in 4 different patterns. I reach for these a lot. When looking at a new pattern I always try to picture the plate covered in half-eaten spaghetti. Try it, it eliminates a lot of the more out-there designs that only look good before any food is served. Food always looks okay served on plain white plates while the square shape and fluted edges add some pizazz. The mugs are a decent size for morning coffee. Dried food stuck in the edges could be a pain to hand wash but I put these in the dishwasher and they come out spotless. The quality, shine and heft are comparable to brands that cost a LOT more so Scandia ultra is a real bargain.

    Just finished a complete kitchen remodel to a very contemporary feel and this dinnerware set by corelle was a perfect match. This set is much heavier than other corelle, but still lighter than stoneware (my wife doesn’t care for real heavy plates). I highly recommend this set from corelle, not to mention their fantastic warranty.

    If you are planning on buying something from this company and you don’t want a thin plate feel, these are the ones for you. I dropped one on the floor and it didn’t break. They have a plain look but they are great for everyday use.
